The city of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Belgrade is the capital and largest city of Serbia which is in south eastern Europe being the third largest city.  Belgrade in Serbian translates to âWhite Cityâ. Belgrade is 383 ft above sea level and is located at the confluence of the Danube and Sava rivers.  It is also the economic heart and capital of education / Science in Serbia.  The weather here is described as a moderate continental climate which is evidenced by variable weather patterns over seasons.  Summers can be warm / humid with thunderstorms and frequent snowfall can be seen over winter.  All year round precipitation is evenly spread.  Belgrade is a cultured city holding various annual events such as: Belgrade Film / Music / Book / Beer Festival.  There are various attractions which are a must see, such as: National Museum, new and old Belgrade architectural buildings, Beli Dvor â" White Palace, various monuments and temples.  There are 7km long beaches which have many sports and water sports on offer.  You may be interested in the exciting night life here too with many clubs open until dawn.  <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

The weather here is characterised by south easterly and easterly winds which are called the âKosavaâ which bring clear and dry weather.  The Kosava is the largest air cleaner of Belgrade.  The average all year round annual temperature is 120C with the hottest months normally being July and August.  The coldest months are normally December and January.  Belgrade brings around 700 mm of precipitation per year and an average of 2096 sunny hours per year.  The highest temperature ever recorded in Belgrade was 43.10C and the lowest was -26.2 in 1893.
