Weather Overview for Olu Deniz
Olu Deniz is a picturesque beach resort town located on upon the idyllic Aegean sea on the south west coast of Turkey.
If you were asked to pick a color to describe Olu Deniz, that color would be blue- all different shades of blue. The small beach resort plays host to beautiful aqua marine waters that lie peacefully below cloudless blow skies.
Whether you are below the waters or floating above them you will be amazed by the beautiful shades of turquoise, aquamarine and cobalt that sit nestled amongst all the other colors of the rainbow which exists in the form of coral, green grass and colorful flowers.
Olu Deniz is one of the most photographed beaches in the world, and once you are here it is easy to see why. The area has become a popular beach escape and is home to a variety of different actitives such a diving, hiking, boating and in particular- paragliding.
Olu Deniz is a popular paragliding location due to the spectacular and unique panoramic views. The town lies upon the Aegean sea with steep mountains rises behind it.
To top of the amazing geography, Olu Deniz also has amazing weather. In this popular beachside escape you will very rarely see the barometer fall far below 10 degrees at any point in the year making it a holiday location year round.
If you want to escape the extremities of the northern European winters that Olu Deniz would be an ideal choice of location. Winter here generally sees daily temperatures of a pleasant 16 degrees and sunny days are plentiful. While the winter months is when the region sees most of its rainfall, there is very rarely more than 3 consecutive days of rain.

Summers in Olu Deniz get very hot, but the cooling seas breezes off the Aegean sea make the afternoons comfortable and the evenings amazing. In the height of summer (July/August) you will see the beaches filling up as travelers escape the temperatures which are often in excess of 30 degrees.
The average high is about 26 degrees, however in the middle of the day the mercury will often sit in the mid 30’s.
Rainfall year round is at a minimum during the summer months, at a maximum during the winter months and fairly mild during Autumn and Spring.

The town of Olu Deniz lies just around the corner from a breathtaking blue lagoon. The lagoon is a protected nature reserve upon which building is prohibited. This has meant that despite the area being a popular tourist resort it remains relatively unscathed.
The beach is one of the top 5 beaches in the world and holds an official ‘blue flag’ which means it is known, worldwide as one of the cleanest and well looked after beaches.
So whether you choose to visit the southwestern coast of Turkey in summer, winter, spring or Autumn you will find weather conditions to suit you. Temperatures are mild outside of summer and the heat of the summer months is easily escaped by the cooling winds and refreshing waters of the Aegean Sea.
