This evening's weather forecast for Lagos, Portugal
Located in the Algarve
region at the south westernmost point of Europe, Lagos
is one of Portugal’s
most renowned and sunniest tourist destinations. Lagos typically has a warm climate with very
sunny spring and summers days commonly seeing temperatures of 30ºC or higher
and mild but wet and windy winters with average temperatures of approximately
12ºC.
If you’re a tourist searching for an ideal location with
extravagant beaches and some of Europe’s finest weather year round, then Lagos may just be the
perfect holiday for you. Alike the majority of the Algarve region, Lagos
features over 3000 hours of warm uninterrupted sunshine every year and with a
flight time less than three hours from the UK it’s no surprise that many
holiday makers from the UK flee to Lagos throughout the chilly winters
experienced further north. Average climates in Lagos will typically reach highs
beyond 30ºC throughout the warmest months of July and August, while the
climates throughout the winter linger at 17ºC creating an ideal vacation for
year round sunshine and warmth.
Summer
The extensive hot summer in Lagos is perfect from worshippers of
everlasting dry sunshine. The widespread summers in Lagos extend from May right through until
October and you can be assured that the average climate throughout these months
will never drop below 20ºC. From the months of June until August around twelve hours
of hot sunshine can be expected everyday as the climate climbs towards the 30ºC
mark and even higher. Soothing breezing sweeping inland from the Atlantic will glide in throughout the day time bringing a
relief to the sometimes unbearable heat. The water climates during the
summertime are ideal for swimming and all water sport lesuires. Nightfall is
particularly pleasant during the months of summer, always bringing a mild
breeze in the Lagos
area.
Winter
As the overall weather will commonly turn very cold in the UK, it is still possible to achieve a golden tan
by taking a vacation to the sunny coast of Lagos. Average climates during the winter
months will typically stay around 17ºC and you can be assured at least six
hours of warm sunshine per day. Rainfall is still quite uncommon throughout the
winter months and any rainfall experienced will come in forms of brisk showers
and is typically very short-lived.
Spring and Autumn
The months of spring and autumn are very pleasant in Lagos and if you want to
beat the crowds is definitely an ideal time to holiday. As temperatures are
still over the 20ºC and the sun shining down brightly for approximately ten
hours per day, the characteristic weather of Lagos is perfect for a holiday at any time of
the year.
