After a couple of weeks of sunny, dry, warm weather, conditions are changing and it’s looking more unsettled for this years Glastonbury Festival, so be prepared and pack wellies, waterproofs and sun cream – festival weather notoriously changes in a flash!

As forcast, today was fine, no doubt a relief to tens of thousands festival-goers arriving at the Festival site in Pilton in Glastonbury to pitch their tents. However as we progress towards the end of the week and into the weekend the risk of showers, some of them heavy, increases.

Met Office Deputy Chief Meteorologist Bob Wilderspin said: “Thursday night into Friday morning could see some heavy downpours for Somerset and there is the potential for slow moving thundery showers to affect Glastonbury Festival both Saturday and Sunday.”
