Weather Overview for Hisaronu

With central locality on the Turquoise Coast of Turkey and being only a short moment away from the busy city of Fethiye, the blue lagoon and crescent beach of Hisaronu features a typical Mediterranean climate with extensive, hot summers and mild winters.

The township of Hisaronu is situated less than four kilometers beyond the beach resort of Olu Deniz where visitors from all over the world spend holidays year round relaxing by the beauty of the sea sunbathing on the gorgeous beaches of the Blue Lagoon. Positioned at an elevation of more than 450m above sea level and situated at an altitude of high plateau at the foreland of the spectacular Bagadad Mountains, Hisaronu’s advanced location means that the climate remains slightly cooler and more refreshed than that in Olu Deniz, assuring year round low humidity levels and pleasing climates.

Spring

In Hisaronu, the months of spring will commonly see loads of warm sunny weather, with a seasonal temperature averaging around 15°C and approximately eight hours of sunny weather per day. Springtime is ideal for discovering the regions of the surrounding areas. Activities such as walking and cycling are also an enjoyable leisure at this time of the year.

Summer

As spring turns into summer, the climates gradually rise from an average of 18°C to 26°C, often peaking above 30°C in the peak of summer. However, as a result of the high altitude and bracing mountain breezes the typical weather always remains three to four degrees cooler than that on the coastal resorts of Fethiye and Olu Deniz. The mountain breezes are particularly effective throughout July and August when the temperatures are at their highest, the refreshing air will help cool the climate to a more comfortable level. The sun will shine brightly down on Hisaronu for an average of thirteen hours a day throughout the summer months, seeing barely any rain at all.

Autumn

Autumn typically sees climates similar to that in spring with temperatures averaging between 15°C to 18°C and rainfall is still being rather uncommon. Autumn will see plenty on sunshine right throughout the season, particularly in September and October.

Winter

The wintertime in Hisaronu is mild to cold and will see average temperatures lingering at 9°C in December, while the months of January and February can commonly drop to as low as 6°C. Even though the duration of winter in generally mild, it is also very wet as the area receives around 1000mm of rainfall annually, whilst most of it is obtained in January and February. Nevertheless there is so a decent amount of sunshine throughout the winter months with at least five hours of warm sunshine every day.
