Over the past few years, Albéniz has focused on showing classic films in their original format. Given the initiative’s success, the Málaga Film Festival is including a programme of movie classics: The Golden Age. The programme includes as many as 30 films, screened in their original language with subtitles and divided into seven sections. Side activities include meetings with El Gran Wyoming and filmmaker José Luis Cuerda, concerts, film workshops and seminars.

The first film will be Roman Holiday, to be screened in the open air, on Alcazabilla Street, in a unique atmosphere.

The sections will be dedicated to film directors John Ford, Bernard Herrmann and Roberto Rossellini, to genres like American comedy, melodrama and favourite horror movies, and, finally, to the people’s choice films, chosen by the public in social media.
