What's the Weather like in Liverpool in October

The weather is beginning to get a lot colder in Liverpool during this time of the year. Therefore, those who choose to visit during October will need to pack plenty of items that can be layered in order to be prepared for whatever Mother Nature may throw your way while in town. However, if you don't mind the wet and the chilly conditions, now can be a good time to score a good deal on a room and avoid the larger crowds at the same time.

Temperature

Temperatures during this time of the year continue to fall and take a big dip this month. The average overall daily temperature is 11°C (52°F). Jackets and long sleeves will be needed both in the morning and the afternoon hours as average overnight lows fall to 9°C (48°F). The afternoon temperatures take the biggest tumble from September to now falling all the way to 13°C (55°F). Combined with the wind, it can also feel much cooler.

Rain

In addition to bringing some long sleeves and light jackets, visitors will also need to bring a rain jacket or an umbrella. That is because this is the wettest month of the year with an average of 73mm of precipitation. However, the number of days recording rain falls to only 10 days of the month. As a result, you may see some dry conditions while on holiday, or you could run into a heavier downpour.

Water Temperature/Sunshine Hours

While it might be possible to still spend some time at the beach, you will want to make sure the weather is cooperating before heading out. The average water temperature for this time of year is 14°C (57°F). This is really the last month where visitors can enjoy the beach before it gets too cold. Additionally, there are only 5 hours of sunshine each day.
