The Travel Foundation has teamed up with Travelife for Hotels & Accommodations for this year’s Make Holidays Greener campaign to raise awareness of the need for cleaner, greener beaches in the UK.
The foundation will be calling on tour operators, travel agents, hotels and other tourism businesses to sign up to support the Big Holiday Beach Clean-up, organising events to clean up beaches and other beautiful landscapes.
With ocean plastics dominating sustainability headlines, The Travel Foundation will also be supporting hotels and other tourism businesses to find ways to reduce plastic usage.
Last year over 100 companies took part, in 22 countries, gathering up over 600 bags of rubbish – please get involved and help make an even bigger impact in 2015!
