While many hotels are located within the historic portion of Marrakesh, the Riad Morgane is found in a residential area of town. This means it is a bit further of a walk to get to many attractions but it will be quieter and more relaxed than many other options. As is tradition with many locally run hotels in Marrakesh, the owners of this riad are endlessly friendly and helpful.

Riad Dar Saba

If you would rather stay in the city, the Riad Dar Saba is a within a quick walk of many attractions in Marrakesh. The riad is located inside the medina, one of the most popular and high traffic areas in the city.

If you like a busy, energetic holiday, you will certainly get it with a stay here. Of course, because of its location, you should be ready to walk a bit further with your luggage as taxis cannot stop in front of its doors. And many people in the streets of the medina will offer to give directions or carry your bags but be wary as they will expect payment in exchange.

Riad Charlott'

The Riad Charlott' has a spectacular location within Marrakeshrom its rooftop you'll be able to look over most of the city skyline. It's a little way out of the city centre, but the vast selection of drinks and variety of music on offer make the trip worthwhile.

Located inside the Sofitel hotel, this is a great place to finish the day and admire the skyline and city sights with a drink in hand. Things to Do in Marrakesh in July

Medina

One must-see while you're in Marrakesh, if you are feeling up to the heat, is the Medina. This historic building marks the entrance to the large market in the city. Do plan on bringing cash with you to the Medina as the popular marketplace is located inside.

Also, be prepared to haggle with local vendors as it is expected and part of the fun of shopping here. Don't feel uneasy about negotiating for a price, it is a part of the act of purchase you won't be offending anyone.

Maison Tiskiwin

If you would like to stay inside rather than being outside during the heat, you can make a stop into the Maison Tiskiwin. This museum is dedicated to the history of Marrakesh and Morocco, including artefacts from its nomadic history, and held in high regard.

It is often listed on to-do lists when visiting the city. It is a rather compact museum so there are countless wonders to see in a beautiful building but it will only take a few hours of your time. Many of the exhibits are labelled in English, French and often Arabic.

Heritage Spa

Another option to beat the heat and relax is spending an afternoon at the Heritage Spa. This exquisitely decorated spa is staffed with trained professionals offering a wide range of relaxation and beauty treatments.
