The weather is the most enjoyable during the summer months (although come prepared with an umbrella). However, this is also the busiest time for tourism, so if you're not a fan of crowds and busy restaurants and attractions then best to plan your trip in the shoulder seasons of Spring and Autumn.
You can take advantage of off-season fares and will have a better chance at scoring a room on one of the many area hotels that sell out during the summer period, though keep in mind that in the depths of off season many of the popular summer attractions may only be open s few days of the week, if at all.
