The beaches in Zanzibar are some of the most beautiful in the world. As of yet, they remain untainted by the masses of humanity that trudge through many of the world's other beach resort locations. In fact, Zanzibar still has a handful of beaches that are little known and don't receive many visitors.
One of the nicer beaches to visit is that of Jambiani village. Located on the east coast of Zanzibar, Jambiani is a quaint fishing village that has started to gain attention. It's still rather small and there aren't too many places that offer decent accommodations yet, but the ones that are there are relatively nice and quite affordable.
Jambiani is known for its seafood and seaweed harvesting and production. Visitors will get to experience quiet living among some of the nicest inhabitants of Zanzibar. There is one long road that follows the beach and oftentimes visitors will find themselves strolling along this road in the evening where they'll be greeted by many of the locals with a fairly hearty 'Jambo', which means hello!
