The Solomos Square in Zante Town is great destination for sight seeing, dining, or just people watching. The square is surrounded by traditional architecture of the island with its arch-shaped windows and arcades. The centre is dominated by a bust of Dionysos Solomos, the national poet of Greece who wrote the poem Hymn to Liberty, which are the lyrics of the national anthem of the country.
