The great weather attracts sun-seeking tourists so expect to see the beaches, restaurants, and hotels filling up at this time of year. Temperature

Daily temperatures are a very pleasant 21°C, but the mercury regularly soars to 25°C and above. At night, the temperatures rarely fall below 16°C, meaning evenings are warm and close. The temperatures continue to rise throughout the month, with the average high temperature of 23°C at the start of the month soaring to 28°C by the end, and the average low temperature of 15°C at the beginning of June rising to a pleasant 18°C.

Be sure to pack a few bottles of suncream, a hat, and lightweight summery clothing to keep the heat at bay. It's unlikely you'll need extra layers for the evenings, but if you feel the cold then slip in a cardigan or thin jumper to be on the safe side.

    Rain

There's very little rain in June, with a measly 8mm falling throughout the entire month. It's very, very unlikely you'll come across any showers during your trip and, if you do, they'll either be at night or will pass quickly.

    Sunshine Hours

The days are long in June in Vilamoura, with around 11 hours of sunshine per day. This means that there's plenty of opportunity to hit the beaches and get out and explore the area. Evenings are warm and light, too, offering more hours to enjoy the resort.

    Sea Temperature

Talking of beaches, the sea temperatures are considerably warmer than previous months, with waters reaching around 19°C. It's not as hot as July or August, but that means it's a refreshing relief from the hot sun. The sea breezes have died down in June, too, which means casual swimmers can bask in the waters without a care in the world. Watersports are hugely popular in Vilamoura and the cooler water temperatures are perfect for trying out some windsurfing or kitesurfing.

June is a fantastic time to visit Vilamoura. The crowds aren't quite as big as in the height of summer, so the warm temperatures combined with the calm waters and long days mean you can enjoy all that the resort has to offer without getting caught up in the crowds.
