Located on the south eastern coast of Spain, Valencia is blessed with a typical Mediterranean climate.
By September, the weather is beginning to take an autumnal turn. The temperatures have dropped slightly from those seen in July and August, but remain high, with plenty of sunny weather and clear skies.

Head to tapas restaurant La Taberna de Marisa who are renowned for their authentic small plates of Spanish cuisine made with fresh local produce. With a lively atmosphere and indoor and outdoor seating, La Taberna de Marisa is a great place to spend an evening in Valencia.
For those staying by the beach in Valencia, don't miss the Fisherman's Quarter. Here, you can sample some delicious fish dishes at places such as Casa Montaña, one of the oldest restaurants in Valencia. With a bustling bar area lined with wine barrels, this quaint bodega is popular with locals and is a great choice for lunch or dinner.
Finally, don't leave Valencia without tying the Agua de Valencia. This alcoholic cocktail consists of cava, orange juice, sugar and spirits and was invented in the 1920s. You'll find this drink and many more at Cafe de Las Horas located in the La Seu area. The bar is beautifully decorated in a traditional Baroque style and plays classical music throughout for a unique experience.
