    If you happen to be in Sydney over New Year's Eve, join the locals and celebrate the fesitivities in style. The magnificent and spectacular fireworks display on the New Year's Eve is arguably one of the most famous in the world and isn't to be missed if you're in the city during this time. 

    Quarantine Station

    For local history, head over to the Quarantine Station near North Head. Dating back to colonial times, the facility used to house any arriving convicts who were believed to have infectious diseases. Today the station forms part of the Sydney Harbour National Park and is worth visiting for the views alone.

    31st December 2019

    Enjoy a stunning firework display at Darling Harbour. There will be light shows and partying from 7pm, until the firework display at 9pm. There will be food and drinks available to purchase at the event, but this is a family friendly event, so no alcohol is allowed. Admission is free, but it is advisable to get there early to avoid crowds, and ensure a good viewing point.

    L'Étape Australia by Le Tour de France is a professionally run biking event for amateurs. The route is challenging, going through winding roads, and through the snowy mountains. The route is 170km long with a 3,000m height gain, and has four food zones, and two energy zones for the cyclists.
