What's the Weather Like in Stockholm in August
The city centre of Stockholm is situated on the water, in Riddarfjärden Bay. While 30 percent of the city is composed of waterways, another 30 percent is made up of green spaces. This is an extraordinary "natural" city, filled with history and offering an abundance of outdoor activities.

Beaches for August for Stockholm
August with its average water temperature of 17°C and pleasantly warm afternoons is the ideal time of year to go for a swim in Stockholm. Consider heading to Ekhagenbadet, a fairly small but calm swimming area set in a beautiful wooded landscape in northern Djurgården. Visitors are advised to bring their own drinks and picnics, though, as there is no kiosk in the area.
Another excellent beach in Stockholm is Fredhällsbadet. This is, however, no beach for inexperienced swimmers or young children. It is characterised by rocks and cliffs and the beach is accessed along those rocks. The water is quite deep as well. This is a superb beach for picnics on the rocks, overlooking Lake Mälaren, in peace and quiet. Additionally, there is a beach club.
Restaurants and Bars for Stockholm in August
Ostermalm Food Hall
An amazing place to grab a bite to eat (or buy groceries if you're staying at a self-catering apartment) is the stermalm Food Hall. Dating from the 1880s, this gorgeous food hall is filled with stalls, shelves and counters selling everything from seafood to sandwiches, from fresh vegetables to cheeses. There are several cafés and restaurants in the food hall as well.
Another recommended place to eat is Lilla Ego in Vasastan. This quirky restaurant is operated by two award-winning chefs and serves wonderful traditionally Swedish cuisine. Its environment is informal; its dishes are decently priced.
Anyone looking to grab some drinks after dinner should absolutely go to Kvarnen. This legendary bar is more than a century old and located in Södermalm. Its interior features high ceilings, classic and classy wooden furniture and tiled floors. Its menut is a restaurant as wellonsists mainly of delicious Swedish dishes.

Isle of Sandhamn
As one of the most beautiful islands of Stockholm Archipelago, the Isle of Sandhamn revitalises both body and mind. Sandhamn is especially vibrant during the months of summeruly and August. A recommended place to visit, this tower is guaranteed to hypnotise visitors with its picturesque panoramas.
