This welcoming and laidback restaurant serves hands down the best sushi in St. Kitts, along with a great selection of other Japanese dishes. Things to Do

One of the main historic sites on the island is Independence Square in Basseterre. Formerly known as Pall Mall Square, it got its present name when St. Kitts and Nevis became an independent nation in 1983. The square dates back to at least 1750, when it became the island's commercial, administrative and social epicentre. It houses a beautiful fountain and a striking church.

Another historic site that shouldn't be missed is Fairview Great House & Botanical Gardens. Dating from the 18th century, this splendid mansion has been restored to its former greatness and offers guests the chance to step back in time and stroll through the historic dining room, master bedroom, bathing room and kitchen. The botanical gardens are a highlight as well, consisting of flowerbeds, trees and shrubs, accompanied by signs with information about each of them.
