November Weather Averages

Sorted by popularity:

The end of November marks the end of the wet season and the beginning of the dry season in St. Kitts, a stunning tropical island in the Caribbean Sea. However, during the month, there is still some rainfall to endure before the drier weather arrives.

That said; the total amount of rainfall of 120mm is by no means remarkably high, although it does make this the third wettest month of the entire year, after October and September. November has 13 days with rainfall, which is rather normal for this particular destination. This, of course, also implies that it remains completely dry on 17 days this month. The chance of rainfall is about 20% on any given day, which isn't high whatsoever. When it rains, it most likely is light rainhis type occurs on 59% of the days with rainfall. Moderate rain and thunderstorms may be experienced as well, each happening on 20% of those days.

There is a slight drop in temperatures in November compared with October. The overall average temperature has decreased from 28°C to 26°C, which is still gloriously high. The afternoons remain hot with an average high temperature of 28°C, while the evenings and nights are quite comfortably warm as well, the low temperature averaging 23°C. The sea temperature stays at its annual maximum of 28°C throughout the month. Sunbathing and swimming are popular things to do in Novembernd during the entire year, really.

Sunshine is always abundant and this month is no exception. November is characterised by 9 hours of sunshine each day on average number that could be regarded as the annual daily average of sunshine hours. This is plenty of time to hit the beach, enjoy the Caribbean sun and go for dips in the sea.

In addition to fine weather, November receives far less tourists than it does in the peak months of December, January, July and August, which arguably makes it an even better time to visit.

Where to Stay

The transitional month between the wet season and the dry season, November is arguably one of the best times to visit St. Kittsainly because it is still a relatively quiet month. If you want to visit St. Kitts, you don't necessarily need to stay on the island itself, though. The island of Nevis, the other island of St. Kitts and Nevis, lies only about two miles awayerries commute between the islands, making it incredibly easy to spend time on both of them.

The Hermitage Plantation Inn is a wonderful place to stay in Nevis, a timeless hotel with the historic charm and warm hospitality that characterises this part of the world. Accommodation is available in beautiful cottages that dot a lush three-acre garden landscape. Communal areas include a swimming pool, a bar and restaurant, an art and gift shop, and a tour desk that can help you with fishing trips, nature excursions, car rentals, spa treatments and island cruises.

Another exquisite place to stay is the Mount Nevis Hotel, located on the 17 acres of Round Hill Estate. Features include an organic garden, the nearby ruins of the Cottle Church, wedding venues, a large swimming pool, a fitness centre, free Wi-Fi, an al-fresco bar and restaurant, and a free shuttle bus to and from three different beaches.

Extreme luxury is found at the Four Seasons Resort Nevis. Hit the Beach

This may be the wet season, but with 9 hours of sunshine per day and a sea water temperature of 28°C, November is clearly still a fine month for beach vacations. A suggested beach to visit during your vacation is Turtle Bay (not to be confused with Turtle Beach). Turtle Bay lies adjacent to Sandy Bank Bay and boasts a stretch of beautiful white sand. A secluded beach, Turtle Bay is excellent for surfing and dips in the Atlantic Ocean.

Eating and Drinking Out

Featuring an à la carte menu and buffet selections, Calypso Restaurant at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort is a popular place among families. It focuses on freshly caught seafood and dishes prepared with locally grown ingredients, such as papaya, mango and coconut.

You can enjoy both gorgeous sunsets and refreshing drinks at the Sunset Beach Bar & Grill. Located right at the beach in South Friar's Bay, this welcoming establishment is ideal for casual meals and drinks. Its menu features authentic local specialties such as steamed fish and stewed chicken.

Another recommended beach bar in St. Kitts is Shipwreck Beach Bar & Grill. Featuring palm umbrellas, a sandy beach, a beach shack, sunbeds and a snorkelling equipment rental service, this is the perfect place to spend the afternoon.
