Sotogrande Weather September Averages, Spain

    Sotogrande Weather for September 2022

Come September, the hot summer temperatures start to drop and the rainfall chances begin to rise in Sotogrande. Like nearby Manilva, the average daily temperature is 23°C (around 73°F), a very pleasant and near-perfect temperature. With these amazing daytime temperatures, you'll want to get outside to hike through the surrounding foothills, check out the small towns, or head down to the beach for some sun and fun.

The lows drop down to 18°C (about 64°F), still nice temperatures for being outside in the evening hours. Bring along a jacket or a sweater, however, if you plan on being out near the shore, as the breezes coming across the Mediterranean Sea can make it feel cooler. Expect highs to get up to 27°C (about 81°F), continuing the hot summer temperatures into the autumn. When packing for your holiday away this month, bring along short-sleeved shirts and shorts, as well as a swimsuit.

The average sea temperature is still up at 22°C (around 72°F), plenty warm for swimming and spending time on the beach. Compared to August, you'll get 2 fewer hours of sunshine this month, with an average of 8 hours a day. The chance of a sunny day is 20% and there is also a 20% chance of having a cloudy day this month. The rainfall amounts jump up to 18 mm, falling over four days in the month. Don't worry if you forget your umbrella; any rain that does fall is typically light and short-lived.

Though rare, the area in the south of Spain has seen some extreme high and low temperatures. The highest recorded temperature ever was a steamy 33°C (around 92°F). For this time of the year, the lowest recorded temperature dropped to 12°C (about 54°F). Fortunately, you'll more than likely have more moderate temperatures during your stay at the resort.
