What's The Weather Like In Sardinia In July
If you love sun then July is the perfect time for you to visit Sardinia and its many coastal beach resorts, such as sun-drenched Costa Smeralda and Isola Rossa, to name just two. July is officially the month when Sardinia is at its sunniest, with the most daily sunshine hours on average, at around 12 per day perfect for topping up the tan!
If you need to cool down, then the Mediterranean Sea will do just that for you, with a very pleasant average temperature of around 23°C, so you can enjoy a plethora of water-sports and swimming activities, as well as diving and snorkelling during this peak summer month.
The average July temperature is 24°C, although the high can easily reach 29°C, with those constant breezes making it feel a little more comfortable. A low of 19°C on average is to be expected, so air conditioning is possibly needed during the evenings.

Sardinia Hotels In July
July is the time to bathe in sunshine and enjoy everything the summer has to offer in Sardinia. If you're staying in Alghero, in the wild north of the island, then Hotel Calabona offers a relaxed atmosphere, with a huge swimming pool for a cool down in the July heat. You can also find entertainment at this time of year in the hotel.
Alternatively, perhaps you've headed somewhere a little quieter and tranquil, to escape the summer crowds. Murta Maria is a village resort, set in beautiful countryside, located about half an hour away from Olbia. Hotel Speraesole offers a laid-back base for your break in paradise.
On the other hand, if you chose Costa degli Angeli, then Qt Hotel offers a half board option, and very close proximity to beautiful Poetto Beach, making this the perfect central base for a beach holiday.
Sardinia Beaches For July
If you are staying around the Alghero region then around 8km south of the resort you will find La Speranza, which is the ideal spot for sunbathing and catching a beautiful golden tan.
Alternatively, if you like your beaches a little more rustic and rocky, then Bosa, just south of the resort again, is fantastic for snorkelling and scuba diving.
Bars And Restaurants
Peak summer season means restaurants are busy, and in many cases this simply means it's a good idea to call ahead and book a table in some of the most popular restaurants. In Cagliari this is probably advisable, and Lord Nelson is one restaurant where you should be doing this. This is where you will experience some of the freshest and tastiest seafood on offer, so don't risk your table by not calling ahead!
In San Teodoro it's also a good idea to book ahead at Alculiciu, where the pretty green surroundings make for a fantastic night out, whether you're visiting as a couple, family, or group. This is also a good option for a mid-budget restaurant, which doesn't break the bank.
Alghero Gelateria Oops!
If you simply fancy an ice cream however, then Alghero's famous Alghero Gelateria Oops! Is not only aptly named, but also very popular, especially in the evenings as everyone seeks out a tasty, cool down treat!
