Santa Susanna Weather December Averages, Spain
What's The Weather Like In Santa Susanna In December
Along with January, December has statistically less daily sunshine hours than any other time of the year in Santa Susanna. But as there are still an average of seven hours of sun on offer every day, it makes most of Northern Europe look very dull indeed.
And while we are steeped in the middle of winter in the UK, there is no sign of snow in Santa Susanna. Even average low temperatures are still a very balmy 2°C making it nigh on impossible for a White Christmas in this Catalonian resort. It's therefore no surprise that so many people choose to spend their winters here.
Average temperatures for Santa Susanna in December are a very welcoming 8°C, with average high temperatures reaching up to 13°C. This means it is possible to have a nice walk along the beach or head to a local bar in nothing heavier than a t-shirt. But there have also been some very hot days at this time of the year in Santa Susanna. In 2006, the thermometer reached the record level of 24°C which is warmer than the average summer day in the UK.
And as the weather is so mild all the year round, there are no plummets in sea temperature when the winter comes. Instead a steady decline to 16°C during the month of December means many of the heartier locals will still be going in for a dip.
The amount of rain experienced in December in Santa Susanna is also drastically lower than that seen in October or November. Just 47mm of rain are expected in December over approximately 9 days, which is nearly half the precipitation experienced in the month before. And with the storm season almost a distant memory, the rain that does fall is far lighter and much less obtrusive.
