Things to Do in Rethymnon in March
There are certain places in the world that make you realise just how marvellous nature can be, and the Kotsifou Canyon is definitely one of those. If you can take the pace, there is a six hour hike available through the river and waterfalls that make up this gorge. But make sure all your belongings are secure, at some points you will be up to waist deep in water. Alternatively take an arranged tour or drive independently on the small windy roads that lead to the best viewing points. The outlook is breath taking and offers a unique perspective of the Cretan landscape. Just don't go home without seeing it.
