What's the Weather Like in Puerto Vallarta in April
The weather warms up even more in April in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, as the city quickly heads towards summer (June - October). Its positioning so close to the equator means it sees warm weather year round, and in April this is no different. The temperatures are high, the days are long and sun-filled, plus there's plenty of cultural activities and beaches to explore the perfect place for an early summer break.

Las Animas Beach

For a remote beach experience, take a water taxi to Quimixto Beach, which is a secluded cove attached to a fishing village to the south of Banderas Bay. There are a selection of seafood restaurants dotted along the shore, and there's the opportunity to hire a horse to explore the landscape, as well as walk to the nearby waterfall and snorkel and SCUBA dive in the clear, shimmering lagoon that characterises the beach.

For a fine dining experience, grab a table at Anejo Limon, a popular meat and fish restaurant in the heart of the city. Otherwise, the menu is filled with a selection of local dishes, like Mexican Chamorro, Jalapeno poppers, skirted prawns, and fillet steak.
Kaiser Maximillian is a café and restaurant bistro with a grand interior reminiscent of past decades, with dark wood furniture, high ceilings, and gilded mirrors. There is a spacious outdoor area offering the perfect place to soak up the April sunshine, and the menu boasts a series of mouth-watering favourites, including pan roasted duck breast, veal scaloppini, and seared scallops.

Rancho el Charro

You can explore all of this and more on horseback with Rancho el Charro, located just outside the downtown area of the city. Trek for three or eight hours, getting to know the natural scenery of the city from a different perspective or, if you want to, book onto one of the multi-day excursions for an even deeper experience.

The institution serves up a range of performances, operas, and concerts throughout the year, with a regularly changing schedule of local and international acts.
