What's the weather like in Praia da Luz in November

As with many resorts around the Algarve in Portugal, you can expect slightly wetter and cooler weather in Praia da Luz at this time of year, which is ideal for those who want to explore without high temperatures getting in the way of the fun.

Temperature

November experiences an average temperature of around 15°C, which can rise to a very warm 18°C during the warmer times of the day. You are more likely to find these higher temperatures at the beginning of the month. As for the evenings, you will notice a definite change as we move into the late autumn and early winter period, with an average low temperature of around 12°C, meaning a jacket is certainly going to be needed for evening explorations.

The Municipal Museum of Portimao

If the weather does take a turn for the worse, head for one of the museums in the area for a few hours until the rain passes. The Municipal Museum of Portimao is housed in an old sardine canning factory, which certainly gives it a different and interesting look, and the museum hosts many temporary art exhibitions throughout the year. This is a must for culture and art fans.

Faro

It is just under three hours by car to visit the capital of the Algarve region, Faro, and this is a must do for some serious shopping and sightseeing. This large city is picturesque and brimming with history and culture. Architecture fans will be in their element, especially with such buildings as the Church of Sao Lourenco, and the Cathedral of Faro itself. Football fans should head to Estadio Algarve, and Barreta Island and Tavira Island, are both must visits for nature fans, perfectly possible still at this time of year.
