As a result, there is plenty of room to walk, sunbathe, swim or just spend the day relaxing. Protected by a coral reef, the beach is home to white sand and clear, turquoise water. Be sure to visit during the week if you are looking to stay away from the most crowded times. Since the region only experiences nine days of rain during the month of April, there should be plenty of time to hit the beach.

The menu is full of exotic and more familiar drinks being served to a mixture of locals as well as tourists. This is the perfect spot to unwind for a few hours at the end of a good day. 

    Things To Do In Port Louis In April

    The Crown Lodge

    Beginning in April each year, one of the top highlights of Port Louis and the island are the horse races at The Crown Lodge. Running from now until November, visitors can bet on the ponies and spend a day watching the horses run, meeting with trainers, taking advantage of the open bar and just being a part of a site that has been in existence since 1812.

    Le Performant

    For those who prefer fish over horses, now is the perfect time to enjoy 8 hours of sunshine per day and go for a deep sea fishing adventure. Le Performant offers fishing at its finest as guests go after some of the biggest marlins in the sea. The company sets sail from the northern part of the island, but it is still a short drive from the capital and the adventure is worth the effort.
