Fiesta de la Virgen del Pino

Some of Gran Canaria's most important religious festivals are held in September, which tourists can witness and take part in. One is the Fiesta de la Virgen del Pino (Feast of Our Lady of the Pines) in which pilgrims journey to Teror in the north of the island. Celebrations usually last a week. The other is Fiesta del Charco (Festival of the Lagoon). Held in Puerto de la Aldea, a municipality of San Nicolás de Tolentino.
