What's The Weather Like In Penang In February

Rain

Rainfall amounts are still down in the month of February making it a good time to visit the region. This can be especially true if you are planning a lot of outdoor excursions that might otherwise have to be cancelled with too much rainfall. However, with any outdoor activity, be sure to take plenty of fluids as the heat and humidity are high throughout the month.

Once again, this is one of the drier months of the year with only 70mm of rain expected. Despite what the calendar says, temperatures are well above the freezing mark and there is no chance of frozen precipitation.

Temperatures remain very warm for Penang with an average daily temperature of 28°C (82°F). Things To Do In Penang In February

St. George's Church

Penang has no shortage of religious buildings to see and enjoy while on a February holiday. There are churches, Indian temples, elaborate Buddhist temples and magnificent mosques all within walking distance of each other. Some of the more popular include St. George's Church that was built in 1816, kek Lok Si Temple, or Snake Temple with live snakes inside. Many offer tours for visitors to be able to get a closer look as well as services to attend.

Penang's National Park

With only 70mm of precipitation expected during the month, now is the time to spend plenty of time outdoors at Penang's National Park in Pantai Acheh. It is the smallest national park in the country, but it still has some of the prettiest sights. There are plenty of attractions such as white sand beaches that are perfect for fishing and swimming. Jungle trekking is also popular at this site as are visits to the lighthouse that was built in 1883.
