    Penang Weather for February 2023

What's The Weather Like In Penang In March

Temperatures both on land and in sea remain remarkably consistent into March from the previous two months in Penang. Thanks to the location of the region in the heart of the tropics, there are no wild temperature swings from day to day or month to month. This can make it easy to determine what to pack any time of the year.

Visitors will still need to watch the extended forecast this time of the year, but mainly for rain chances as opposed to temperatures. Spring is the time where the rain chances and rain amounts begin to come up significantly from the beginning of the year. Now the region receives an average of 120mm of precipitation spread over 14 days. As a result, half of the month sees measurable rainfall. Therefore, visitors will need to pack plenty of rain gear in order to stay dry.

However, it will be a warm rain with an average daily temperature of 28°C (82°F). There is little fluctuation from the morning to the evening with temperatures beginning the day at an average overnight low of 24°C (75°F) before climbing to an afternoon high of 32°C (90°F). With all the moisture in the air, however, the heat index can make it feel much warmer than the actual air temperature. This is also the time of the year when guests want to make sure that their chosen hotel offers air conditioning to help stay cool.

    Sea Temperature

It is a good idea to cool off by taking a dip in the ocean. Despite the early month, visitors are able to take advantage of a myriad of water sports and enjoy waters that average 30°C (86°F) for this time of the year.

    Sunshine Hours

Additionally, there are a full 8 hours of sunshine expected during the month making it possible to get plenty of rays when it is not raining.
