    Palma Nova is one of several beach resort towns located at the southwest end of Majorca Island in Spain. It is one of the first places in Spain to be developed specifically as a holiday resort. It now caters to a multitude of different kinds of tourists and expatriates from around the globe. Onsite facilities includes 4 outdoor pools, nursery, children's clubs, Flintstone adventure park, musicals, gardens, and evening shows.

    The beaches of Palma Nova are just a short 15 km west of the airport. The sands tend to be quieter and more tranquil than those in Magaluf. Palma Nova has three beaches, all of which are family-friendly, with fine sand and crystal blue water. Alongside all beaches are restaurants, bars, and free car parking.

    Playa de Son Maties is the main beach, with sunbeds, umbrellas and showers. This beach is a 600-metre stretch of fine sand, good for enjoying water activities like boating or windsurfing. Es Carregador is a small cove with a protected swimming spot. Here is where you can find all the bars and nightclubs. Playa Palma Nova is a nice middle ground, at 1 kilometre interspersed with small playgrounds. It's a great place for families and couples alike.

    Palma Nova is also famous for its Paseo Maritimo Coastal Promenade, where both locals and tourists can walk and enjoy the scenery and at the same time check out the long line of souvenir shops and stores parallel to the beach.      

    Curry Lounge offers excellent Indian food in a friendly atmosphere. As one of the best and most popular Indian restaurants on Mallorca, their dishes of chicken bhauna and biryani are cooked to perfection. The lounge seats 80 diners with takeaway services available on request.

    Port O'Call (Paseo del Mar 16-18) is a reliable restaurant near the mini-golf course that serves pasta, seafood and meat dishes. The ambiance is welcoming and the food absolutely delicious. Be sure to try the ribs that fall off the bone and the white chocolate pannacotta.

    November in Palma Nova is definitely a quieter time and visitors will find that there is plenty of space to move around as the areas are not so crowded with the summertime tourists. A popular festival that visitors may like to explore is the Dijous Bo Fair, in the city of Inca. It's a little ways away from Palma Nova but getting there and back is easy enough as there plenty of buses going that way. The fair celebrates local artisans and farmers and visitors will find many locally crafted items as well as locally farmed produce. It happens on the third Thursday of November and is a must see for visitors in Palma Nova at that time.

    Another landmark to be enjoyed is the Cathedral, which is especially nice at night with the spot lights on. The areas surrounding the Cathedral are full of quiet little nooks and crannies with fountains and gardens for visitors to enjoy.
