What's the Weather Like in Orlando in June
In June, the weather is almost invariably hot and humid, and can get very wet. The average maximum daytime temperature in Orlando, Florida, is as high as 32°C (90°F) whereas the average minimum temperature drops down to 22°C (71°F), but will climb back up to 28°C in July.
There are fair chances of rain compared to the preceding months, as rainy season is well under way. The average monthly precipitation is around 170 mm so there is a chance of rain for about 21 days of the month. An umbrella or waterproof coat will therefore be completely necessary.
Many of the theme parks sell plastic ponchos if you want a souvenir. Of course this makes it the perfect weather for visiting one of Orlando's many water parks as you won't notice the difference.
Average Sunshine Hours
There are around 11 hours of sunshine per day during June and the humidity is fairly high, so it's not the best time to visit if you don't like humid weather. Otherwise, it is a great time to go to Orlando, but be sure to drink lots of fluids to avoid getting dehydrated.
This is particularly necessary if you're at the parks as it's getting busier so you'll be waiting in queues for longer. Hand-held fans which spray water are a great means of cooling down.

You should also consider the Blue Tree Resort, a self-catering hotel not far from Disney World with four pools, a gym, mini golf and facilities to play volleyball, tennis or basketball.

Can't decide between steak and seafood? You can have both at Moonfish, which is located just off International Drive. This highly-rated fish fusion restaurant has a menu of fresh seafood, succulent aged steaks and intriguing sushi. Make sure you go for happy hour on Monday to Saturdays between 4:30 and 6:30 for discounts on seafood and their award-winning wines.
For those visiting Disney World there's Jellyrolls piano bar with dueling pianos and audience sing-alongs. You'll be dazzled as these piano maestros take turns to perform they can play just about anything so try and stump them with your requests! Get there early to get a good table as seats fill up fast.
Atlantic Dance Hall
Still in Disney World and want somewhere to dance the night away? Look no further than Atlantic Dance Hall on Disney's Boardwalk. The elegant, art deco-style ballroom hosts the hottest DJs and plays songs from the 80s, 90s and today. Request your favourite music video and dance along as it plays on the big screen, or take a breather on the balcony with a romantic view of Crescent Lake.
Things to do in Orlando in June
If you can handle the heat, head to the movie-themed Hollywood Studios at Disney World. Go behind the scenes with backstage tours, live action shows and thrilling attractions inspired by television and silver screen favourites. Feel like the star of the show as you roam through movie sets and go center stage with the American Idol Experience.
Thrill-seekers will love the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster featuring songs from Aerosmith, as well as the Tower of Terror. You'll be amazed by stunt shows such as Lights, Motors, Action! and Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular. Learn how special effects are made in the Studio Backlot Tour and take a journey through film history in The Great Movie Ride. Don't miss the Fastasmic fireworks show in the evening featuring the mouse himself.
If you'd rather get back to nature, and are prepared to travel a bit further out, there's Silver Springs in Ocala. Experience stunning natural springs and wildlife on their famous glass bottom boat rides and admire the botanical gardens with around 140 varieties of plants crafted into floral sculptures and flower beds along the Silver River.
Lake Eola Park
For somewhere closer there's Lake Eola Park in Downtown Orlando. Go for a walk around the lake, take a ride in a swan-shaped peddle boat and marvel at the iconic Lake Eola Fountain which comes to life at night with a colourful display set to music.

June is the start of many concert series, with musical to cater for rock, pop and classical lovers.
Rock and roll fans visiting Epcot should check out the Sounds Like Summer Concert Series taking place at the American Gardens Theatre in June and July. Tribute bands for the likes of Bon Jovi, U2, The Police and Lynyrd Skynyrd put on stadium-style shows to salute to these legendary acts. It's all included in your ticket and each band play for about a week so there's plenty of time to go and sing along to classic tracks.
