Locals and visitors mix in a very casual atmosphere, enjoying a drink and laugh in a central location (located on main street, Ocho Rios). Open from afternoon until late night, the tavern offers a variety of drinks and some basic meal options. This is traditionally a sports bar, so if you were hoping to have a quiet, romantic evening perhaps you might like to consider visiting one of other nearby restaurants. There is a DJ spinning the records on Friday nights, so have your dancing shoes ready.
Things to do in Ocho Rios in March
A short bus ride out of town, you'll find Stingray City. Offering you the opportunity to get up close and personal with these majestic creatures, staff at Stingray City will give you a brief demonstration on the correct way to interact with the rays, before allowing you to spend up to 45 minutes in the water with them. Afterwards, a bar and grill offers a selection of food and drinks and a gift shop sells handicrafts and souvenirs.
If you enjoy flowers (particularly Orchids), the Jamaican Orchid Society show is on in March. An explosion of natural colours and species of orchids, locals present their plants to a panel of judges who decide on a winner. The competition is held indoors, making this the perfect attraction to escape the midday heat or the rare shower!
