For a small island, there&#8217;s a very distinctive microclimate, creating its own conditions, independent of the overall weather. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One reason for the microclimate is the Tramuntana mountain range (locally known as Serra de Tramuntana). These mountains act as a barrier for clouds and rain. Spanish tennis superstar, Rafael Nadal, was famously pictured helping with the clean-up in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.holiday-weather.com\/sant-llorenc-des-cardassar\/forecast\/\"><strong>Sant Llorenc<\/strong><\/a>. Close to the Love Island House!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nadal was born in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.holiday-weather.com\/manacor\/\"><strong>Manacor<\/strong><\/a>, a town and municipality on Majorca. He also used his nearby tennis academy to help shelter those left homeless.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-luminous-vivid-orange-background-color has-background wp-block-heading\"><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-white-color\">On your bike <\/span><\/strong>\ud83d\udeb5\u200d\u2642\ufe0f<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks to the mountainous regions of the island, it is has become a favourite training spot for cyclists. The challenging topography attracts not only recreational riders, but also the best professional teams who will train there in the winter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are numerous companies, such as <a href=\"http:\/\/trektravel.com\/trip\/mallorca-ride-camp-bike-tour\/\"><strong>Trek Travel<\/strong><\/a>, that offer a wide variety of tours to those who want to tour the island on two wheels.
