Yesterday saw cloudier conditions and outbreaks of rain spreading from the southwest, then overnight a separate front has brought cloud and rain from the north across <a href=\"https:\/\/www.holiday-weather.com\/scotland\/\">Scotland<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.holiday-weather.com\/northern_ireland\/\">Northern Ireland<\/a>. This will then edge southwards into northern England during today (Saturday) and Sunday. Ahead of the front, across the rest of England and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.holiday-weather.com\/wales_gb\/\">Wales<\/a>, there will be a mixture of bright spells and some heavy showers throughout the weekend, with hail and thunder a risk.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy Chief Meteorologist, Chris Tubbs, said: &#8220;After a warm and sunny start to April for most of us, the change to cooler, more unsettled weather will be a real feature of the weather this weekend and also into next week. However, this change is fairly typical of spring weather, with some April showers on the way&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>London Marathon<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The 35<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0<a title=\"London Marathon (this link opens in a new window)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.virginlondonmarathon.com\/\">London Marathon<\/a>\u00a0takes place this Sunday. The forecast has been rather uncertain, as it is dependent on how quickly the front in the north moves southwards.
