Newquay Weather June Averages, United Kingdom
June is the first month of summer and the time of year when people flock to the beaches.
Those brave enough can even wander into the sea, as with an average temperature of 14°C (57.2°F) it will be warm enough for some to at least try it out if it does remain too cold, though, you can always relax on the soft sand.
That being said, however, there is plenty happening in Newquay and the surrounding areas to detach yourself from the beach occasionally.
There is Looe Festival by the Sea, which happens in the early stages of the month and is a two-day event in Looe, 36 miles from Newquay. Looe Festival has lots of fishing-related events, so keen anglers can look forward to tours of local fishing boats as well as cooking exhibitions with fresh fish.
In addition to this, there's also dancing and a flower festival.
Also in the early part of the month is the Royal Cornwall Show, a massive three-day event in Wadebridge, 16 miles from Newquay. The Royal Cornwall Show draws in over 100,000 people and it's easy to see me, as it boasts a motor fair, music and other entertainment, a steam fair, young farmers, food and farming pavilion, forestry and a countryside area.
The Esplanade Hotel is a family hotel that offers luxury for low prices. It has play areas for the children and a spa for adults.
