With an average of about 100 mm of rainfall over the course of June, Moscow experiences about 12 days of rain in the entire month.

It has been estimated that the highest chance of having a wet day in the entire year is 35 per cent and falls on June 22nd.

Kremlin and Vernissage

Kremlin and Vernissage in Izmailovo located in the city's historical centre, has holidays, fairs and exhibitions carried out in great pomp and splendour. The Vernissage is known to be the world's largest exhibition of crafts and trades, antiques, souvenirs, decorative art, handicrafts and fine arts. This museum of museums comprises of various museums depicting traditional Russian history and life. The museums include a Museum of Russian Fairy-Tale, a Museum of Russian dresses and life, Museum of History of Vodka, Museum of Bells and Museum of Russian Toys. There are also workshops and courses help to learn and master fine arts, the potter`s wheel, painting of ware and toys, weaving etc.  The Izmailovo Kremlin consists of the Palace of Russian Meal where you are allowed to relish traditional cuisine from different nationalities of Russia. Another attraction here is the Souvenir Market where you can shop for Matryoshka dolls, posters, magnets, paintings and musical boxes.

Gorky Park

Moscow's Gorky park offers brilliant ways to escape the chaos of Moscow and take some relaxed time out for yourself. The Olive beach at the park is one of the most frequented areas to wind down and relax. On the banks of the Moskwa river, this beach offers a wonderful setting and a great view. There are wooden deckchairs for beachgoers to relax and spend a few hours in, and also, cool out showers. Overall, this is a lovely sunbathing place and a great retreat for rest and rejuvenation. If you are in the mood for a few sports activities, head over to the Neskutchny Garden for a game of Ping pong and tennis. The Ping pong club has around 40 tables in the Gorky park and is situated under a beautiful willow tree. Kolomenkoye

The Kolomenskoye is another great place to hang out in the summer for its rich scenic, natural beauty. With the park of Kolomenskoye offering a spectacular view of the Moscow city, this place is thronged by tourists and locals alike. The main attractions of the park include the Ascension church, the wooden palace, the original Tsar's Courtyard, Church of the Icon of Our Lady of Kazan, Church of St John the Baptist, and House of Peter I in Kolomenskoye. This museum houses several- almost two thousand Russian paintings of the 15th to the 17th centuries, decorations of Moscow`s lost constructions, wood and stone carvings, and other historical objects. Another favourite attraction is the beautiful apple orchard which makes a perfect picnicking spot. With the park hosting all of Russia's major festivals and holiday celebrations, this is the most favoured and preferred park of Moscow citizens.
