Gris Gris Beach can be found at the south of the island, just a few kilometers away from the village of Souillac. This beach offers tourists and locals stunning panoramic views from the top of its cliffs. There is also a small garden here which is a popular spot for sunbathing.

On the other hand Lu Cuvette Beach boasts a central location, situated close to Grand Bay. This beach is not far from the Royal Palm Hotel, which can be reached from the center of Grand Bay and Pereybere. This is a small and intimate beach, which is perfect if you want to escape from the crowds.

Le Mourne Brabant
Le Morne Brabant is a UNESCO World Heritage site located in Mauritius. This stunning natural peninsula is renowned for a single standing basaltic rock, which reaches a staggering 1821 feet above sea level. This area of natural beauty also boasts a number of lagoons to explore and is home to a number of rare plant species including Mandrinette and Trochetia Boutoniana.
Black River Gorges
Furthermore, the Black River Gorges is a national park located in Mauritius, spread across an area of 16,244 hectares. This is definitely the best place on the whole island to find rare bird species and of course flora and fauna. There are also a number of interesting animals roaming the area such as the rusa deer and the Mauritian flying fox.

Held between April and July every year, teams from across the world start in Western Australia and row across the Indian Ocean.
