What's the weather like in June in Majorca

If you're wondering if Majorca is hot in June, well you're in luck. The weather continues to improve in June in MajorcaBalearic Islands, with the summer season just around the corner. During this month, the average temperature starts off at 18-19°C and gradually rises until it reaches around 23°C in the last few days, making it a fantastic month to enjoy a sunshine holiday.

Throughout June, the daily highs range from 25°C to 29°C, dropping below 22°C or exceeding 32°C only one day in 10. The daily lows for the month fall between 14°C and 17°, only going lower than 11°C or higher than 21°C one day out of every 10, compared to hotter resorts such as Dubai, where temperatures average 35°C.

Since temperatures gradually increase as the month progresses, the coldest days of June are always towards the beginning of the month, with the hottest days at the end. The record high temperature for Majorca in June is a scorching 41°C, with the record low being a chilly 8°C. Compare these dramatic temperatures to the average monthly temperature of 21°C and it's clear that they're extremes and certainly not the norm.

    Dry Spell

The longest dry spell in 2013 lasted from June 9 until July 13 – that's 35 consecutive days without any type of precipitation. The hottest day of 2013 relative to the average also fell in June. On the 16 of that year, the highest temperature of the day was 35°C in comparison to the average 27°C – a difference of 8°C.

Thanks to a very low average rainfall – only 15mm for the whole month – divided between five days, it's unlikely you'll experience any type of rain during your holiday. Moderate rain is the most common type of precipitation you can expect for June, followed by thunderstorms, light rain and drizzle, similar to May. Fortunately, heavy rain and snowfall are extremely unlikely at this time of year and with the sky remaining clear 59% of the time, your holiday shouldn't be spoilt by overcast skies, either.

The possibility of rainfall drops substantially, from 22% on June 1 down to 14% by June 29. Moderate rain is most likely to occur on June 1, thunderstorms on June 6, light rain and drizzle on June 1 – so you're better off waiting until the second week of June at the earliest if you're planning on holidaying in Majorca and want to increase your chances of missing the wet weather.
