Magaluf Weather August Averages, Spain
Located on the south west coast of Majorca, Magaluf is one of the most popular holiday resorts in the whole of Spain's Balearic Islands. A combination of buzzing nightlife, beautiful beaches and perfect Mediterranean weather attract crowds of tourists every year, especially in the peak summer months. In short, it is the perfect summertime tourist destination.
Summer shows no signs of fading in August, in fact, the weather is at its best. Precipitation levels are as low as ever, and hot, sunny days are the norm. The average temperature is the highest of the year, at a sizzling 25°C, while during the day, temperatures often soar to highs of 30°C which can feel very hot indeed. Luckily, Magaluf's coastal position means that sea breezes cool things down a little and make temperatures feel much more comfortable. Night times in the resort are balmy, with low temperatures only falling to 19°C. It is a good idea at this time of the year to check forecasts for UV heights in order to stay protected from the sun.
Similarly, the average sea temperature also peaks this month, at 26°C. This is a perfect temperature for those holiday makers who want to splash about on the beautiful beaches or take advantage of the many water-related activities. The beach is also the perfect place for sunbathing, which is how most visitors will choose to spend their days here. And who could blame them, with so much sunshine around? August sees an average of 12 hours of sunshine a day, falling just behind July's 13 hours, and there's a 75% chance of a sunny day.
Rain isn't worth worrying about if you're travelling to the region this month as it is extremely low. August is one of the driest months of the year and sees just 20mm of rainfall, which is spread over 6 days. Any rain that does occur will fall in short, light showers, usually at night, and will pass quickly. Bright, clear skies are the norm.
With such great weather, August is one of the most popular times to travel to Magaluf, though as a result, the resort can get crowded.
Those staying in Magaluf in August will quite rightly want to stay as close to the beach as possible. It is also close to many of the resort's best bars and restaurants, while onsite amenities include a well-designed bar area with a wide outdoor terrace and two hot tubs which have great views of the sea. The hotel gets rave reviews from former guests, with everything from the food, the service and the rooms exceeding guests' standards.
Another popular option is the Sotavento Hotel and Apartments. This adult-only hotel is set a little further back from the beach and the strip but is perfect for those looking for a more exclusive retreat and is especially recommended for couples. Regularly voted the best hotels in Magaluf, it is easy to see why; from the stylish and contemporary décor to the highly rated on-site restaurant and the fun DJ and pool parties that are regularly held here, everything is designed for holiday makers to have a great time.

The resort is known for its famous strip where holiday makers can find an array of fun bars and clubs. Alexandra Bar is the perfect place to begin an evening on the strip. This well-established venue offers live music and a wide choice of drinks.
Just across from the Lively Magaluf Hotel is the Fubar live lounge bar. Air conditioning inside makes it a great place to hang out before moving on to the next venue, while the outdoor terrace is also a great place to relax with a few drinks as well. The electric guitar and drum set inside have prompted more than a few impromptu jam sessions.
For a great bite to eat, head to Diablitos Sea Lounge. This family-friendly restaurant is one of the most highly rated in the resort and offers beachside dining with beautiful views. Menu choices includes fresh salads and pizzas while the cocktails come highly recommended.
August is peak season in Magaluf and as a result, there is no shortage of fun things to see and do. One of the most memorable activities to take part in is to get out on the ocean on a catamaran trip. Local charter companies offer four hour tours which depart from Magaluf and sail around the Mediterranean, taking in the beautiful coastline along the way. The trips include drinks and lunch in the ticket price.
One of Magaluf's must-see attractions is the famous Pirate Show. Pirate Adventure is a dinner show which entertains guests with a swashbuckling mix of acrobatics, gymnastics and world-class dancing while they enjoy a delicious meal. A fun way to spend an evening for all ages.
Hit the beach
