Temperature

Apartments

For something more self-contained, take a look at this privately-owned apartment. Located roughly half way between the peak of the mountains and the sea in Los Gigantes, this resort has panoramic views of the ocean and the iconic cliff faces from the balcony, making it ideally positioned for watching sunsets. The apartment features one bedroom with two twin beds plus one sofa bed, making it suitable for 2-4 guests, as well as lounge with two rocker chairs, TV, DVD player, fully-equipped pine kitchen and complete bathroom. The community area is home to two swimming pools and grassy sitting areas, with shops, supermarkets, cafes, bars, restaurants, the beach and marina within a five-minute walk of the apartment.

Mistinguett

When it comes to sophisticated dining in Los Gigantes, you can't beat Mistinguett. This restaurant serves a selection of classic English and French dishes, such as pork belly, lobster thermidor, pan-fried venison, roasted sea bass and grilled fillet steak. To complement the food menu, there is an extensive wine list with a top selection of French, Spanish and international bottles. Diners can choose to eat inside where the surroundings are simply but modern or dine on the outside terrace if it's warm enough.

El Rincon de Juan Carlos

The award-winning El Rincon de Juan Carlos is one of the best places in the south of Tenerife to enjoy modern Spanish cuisine. This small restaurant can only seat 30 people at a time, making it the perfect location for a romantic meal, and offers a menu full of innovative dishes such as tuna toast with pine nut praline, king prawns with shoots and almond sauce, pork belly with mango and prawn chutney, and potato soufflé, alongside homemade desserts and hand-selected wines.

Ocean Explorer

If you're up for some aquatic fun during your holiday in Los Gigantes, see what Ocean Explorer has to offer. This excursions company is located at the marina and offers a choice of parascending, jet skiing, wing rides and banana boat rides. They also offer a whales and dolphins excursion during which you're guaranteed to see some whales if you don't then you get your money back.

Puerto Santiago

The neighbouring resort of Puerto Santiago is a great place to spend the day if you're looking to explore further afield. This resort is slightly bigger than Los Gigantes and therefore has more choice when it comes to shops, supermarkets, cafes, bars, restaurants and entertainment venues. One of the highlights of Puerto Santiago if you're visiting during the daytime is the collection of rock pools home to all sorts of marine life which flank either end of the small black sand beach.
