The Great Orme and the Little Orme are must-see attractions for those visiting Llandudno. These limestone walls were first named by Vikings who thought that from the water they resembled mythical sea serpents. These amazing landmarks can be viewed from many angles by travelling the scenic, four-mile Marine Drive around their bases. This is one-way for most of the trip, and it is a toll road. The fee includes parking anywhere on the drive, including the summit.

In addition, there is a church, Saint Tudno's Church, accessible by a side road detour. Also, there is a café just above the lighthouse called Rest & Be Thankful, at which hungry drivers can stop and enjoy reasonably priced, quality food from the region.

An interesting way to enjoy the scenic views while still doing something active would be to participate in the annual Nick Beer 10K Memorial Race that is held here every year. The race path is challenging, but the views it provides runners as they race around the Great Orme are priceless and worth the time. For non-runners, the Marine Drive is considered an excellent walking path at any time of the year.

During February, the average low temperature is 38°F (3°C), while the average high temperature is 47°F (9°C).
