August Weather Averages

Sorted by popularity:

In August, the beautiful displays at Bodnant Garden are something that draws in many tourists each year. At this point in the season, the summer blooms of herbaceous borders, roses, water lilies, clematis and all sorts of shrubs and climbing plants are still out. Also, since the weather is gradually transitioning to the autumn, visitors might also see a national collection of Eucryphias, something any plant enthusiast will consider a special treat.

The Garden offers many events during August such as children's storytelling activities, Shakespeare productions on the grounds, informative tours about the gardens themselves, bird exhibitions and demonstrations, and outdoor concerts.

Those visiting in August should check Bodnant Garden's extensive calendar in order to take advantage of specific events happening throughout the month.

August is the last opportunity for parents to take their children to the donkey and pony rides on the North Shore beach. Although this is not an activity the entire family can take part in, appropriately aged children will remember it for a lifetime, and since it is not offered year round, summer visitors should definitely take part.

The average low temperature for August is 54°F (12°C). The average high temperature is 67°F (20°C).
