What's the Weather Like in Liverpool in February

February is the second coldest month of the year in Liverpool and behind January by just a few tenths of a degree. Now can be a good time of the year to visit away from the crowds of the summer months if you do not mind having to bundle up every time you go outside.

Temperature

Overall daily temperatures for this time of the year are still cold at just 6°C (43°F). Afternoon highs do not climb very much despite the fact that the area gets 4 hours of sunshine per day. The average afternoon temperature is just 7°C (45°F). As a result, visitors will need to bring heavy jackets in order to stay warm throughout the daytime hours. Average overnight lows will fall to 4°C (39F) by the early morning hours.

Rain

Once again, there is also a significant chance of seeing snow during this time of the year. The biggest chance of snow comes in the early morning hours when temperatures are at their coldest. Overall, the region will experience an average of 53mm of precipitation throughout the month. This mix of rain and snow will typically fall over a period of just 10 days. As a result, much of the month is on the dry side and the rain or snow will come in some more significant bouts.

Sea Temperature

Water temperatures remain too cold to enjoy during the winter months. While some of the beaches are open, the combination of cold water and cold air keeps many people away from the shoreline.
