Lefkada Weather February Averages, Greece
February remains fairly mild in Lefkada, with daytime temperatures never exceeding 12°C (54°F) and falling to around 6°C (43°F) at night.
February is however dryer than preceding months, meaning you can visit and enjoy much of the surrounding scenery but be sure to bring an umbrella!
As it is off season, it is fairly quiet in Lefkada, meaning this is an ideal time of year to visit if you'd like a peaceful, relaxing holiday.
Accommodation will also be cheaper in the winter months although many of the more tourist centred hotels, bars and restaurants will be closed.
The town of Lefkada is ideal for strolling through its narrow streets and perusing the various shops.
There are also plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants to choose from, with the specialty on the menu being locally caught seafood.
There are also regular ferry services to surrounding islands during the winter months.
Or for something closer to home, you can take a very brisk twenty minute ferry to Meganisi. You can take it easy by exploring the bars and cafes around the harbours in the pretty fishing villages, or else hike or hire bikes to explore the many routes around the island.
This is an ideal time of year to do so due to the mild weather.
Ypapanti takes place on February 2nd all over Greece and is a precursor to the Lenten carnival celebrations. Depending when Easter falls these can take place in February, and involve many outdoor activities and feasting.
