What's the Weather like in Lake Maggiore in August

    Average Sunshine Hours

The height of the tourist season arrives in August in Lake Maggiore, as travelers come from all over the world to enjoy the last bits of the summer holiday. The warm days and cool nights make for near ideal temperatures for getting outside and enjoy all the lake activities. The area gets around 9 hours of sunshine each day, ample time to explore the little towns around the lake and see the various attractions that make the lake popular.

You'll want to pack an umbrella, as the area sees about 185 mm of rainfall this month. The rain falls over an average of 15 days during the month, but hopefully you'll still get more dry days during your stay. Along with the rain, you may even see a couple of thunderstorms, but typically they don't reach the severe level. Thankfully, the rain that does fall doesn't last long, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the outdoors.

Along with an umbrella, you'll also want to bring along sunscreen and a hat to protect yourself from the still-hot sun's rays. Shorts, short-sleeved shirts, and tank tops are appropriate during the day. At night, when the temperatures hit a low of 17°C (about 63°F), you'll probably want a light jacket or sweater to keep warm, especially when outside along the lake. The high temperature gets up to 27°C (around 84°F) whilst the average daily temperature hits 22°C (about 72°F).
