Kyrenia has some excellent restaurants. Stone Arch is a European restaurant located in a lovely old courtyard. The ambiance is mellow and the food excellent, with some of the best curry on the island. Meals are cooked to order with fresh ingredients with great attention to detail.
The Efendi Restaurant is one of the most excellent in town. Offering fine dining at reasonable prices, with a cosy atmosphere. The dishes are all European, and tastefully prepared so be sure to book a table ahead.
Magarina Bulli serves authentic Turkish food in a buffet-style bistro. Head here if you want to try the best local dishes: macaroni topped with halloumi, pea stew, chicken and potato kebab, meatballs, chickpea stew and stuffed vine leaves.

Sunset Club Paintball
Feel like a bit of adrenaline-fuelled fun? Head to Sunset Club and try your hand at paintball -- one of the most popular recreational activities among tourists in the area. The game is ideal for the whole family and will no doubt get everyone in good spirits.
Bellapais Abbey Monastery
Don't miss visiting Bellapais Abbey monastery. This ancient attraction is located on the mountainous side Kyrenia and showcases some fine examples of Gothic architecture of the 12th century.
Old Mill Cafe
The Old Mill Cafe is an ancient mill that has been restored into a museum/cafe. Tucked away in the side streets of Bellapais, the cafe serves an array of Cypriot delights, but what it does best are the coffee and afternoon treats like apple tart and ice cream.
A great way to spend the day is a drive out to nearby Turkish villages. Karaoglanoglu is located three miles west of Kyrenia, and offers visitors a few excellent beaches, bars and restaurants. Head down to the stunning Kervansaray Beach for some exquisite sunsets. Alsancak, located 6 miles west of Kyrenia, offers spectacular views of a pretty harbour, and easy access to restaurants and beaches. Four miles west of Kyrenia is Karmi, arguably the prettiest village due to its traditional terraces and stone arches. It's worth spending a few hours here, sipping a coffee or browsing in a local shop for souvenirs.
