Kemer Weather March Averages, Turkey
Kemer is a popular holiday resort located on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey, just 40km from the city of Antalya. The region is known as the Turquoise Coast thanks to its beautiful blue waters and Kemer is famous for its wonderful natural scenery, sandwiched between golden beaches and green mountains.
March marks the beginning of the short spring season in Kemer. This time of year sees improvements in the weather but is still much milder than the swelteringly hot summer. Despite cooler temperatures, March is a popular time of year to visit the resort as it is much quieter than the peak summer season.
Temperatures at this time of year range from highs of 17°C during the hottest part of the day to lows of 7°C a night. Average temperatures hover somewhere around 12°C though, which can feel quite pleasant when the sun is shining.
Kemer is a sunny resort all year round, with over 300 days of sun a year. Sunshine hours continue to increase into March, with 10 gloriously sunny hours a day and a 32% chance of a sunny day.
As well as getting warmer and sunnier, the weather continues to dry up as spring arrives in Kemer. In March, there's 93mm of precipitation and around 10 wet days throughout the month, which results in a 25% chance of rain. Holiday makers should be prepared for some wet weather, but showers should be light and should pass quickly. This will continue to drop steadily throughout the spring.
March is an iffy month as far as sea temperature is concerned. It stays quite cool at this time of year, with an average water temperature of 16°C, so you may want to wait a few months before you dive in. Luckily, there's plenty of other fun things to do in Kemer besides swimming in the sea.
As March is still outside of the peak summer season, tourists will be able to find some great deals on accommodation in the resort, whatever their requirements.

Though March isn't the best time of year to visit the famed beaches of Kemer, tourists will still find more than enough ways to keep themselves entertained in the resort.
One of the best ways to see the region is with a yacht tour, which are popular all year round. Many companies offer trips where you will be picked up from your hotel and taken to the marina to board a boat for a full day of sailing. Tours go to places such as the old cities of Phaselis and Olympos where guests can see some important historical sights. Tours often include lunch as well as a stop where guests can relax on the boat or take a swim (if the water's warm enough!)
Speaking of Phaselis, March is a great time to visit this city and explore on foot before the weather gets too hot. The ruins of this ancient Greek and Roman city lie on the coast of Lycia within easy reach of Kemer. Phaselis was once a major harbour city but is now mainly a tourist attraction. An ancient street runs through the middle of the city where visitors can see ruins of shops, Roman baths, agoras and theatres. There are also numerous water canals and the famous Hadrian Waterway Gate to see.
