Jandia is located on a peninsula on the south coast of the island of Fuerteventura in Spain's Canary Islands. May brings moderate warmth accompanied by dry weather. Therefore, it is a prime time for outdoor activities.

Much of the entertainment is centered in the vicinity of the area's major tourist resort, Morro Jable. There are multiple options when it comes to accommodations in the area.

With many kilometres of beaches that have fine, light colored sand and beautiful clean, clear water, there is plenty of room for sunbathing or just playing in the water. The sea temperature of 19°C makes swimming in the ocean a more than refreshing thing to do.

There are literally dozens of restaurants throughout Jandia. A highly rated and popular Italian restaurant is Ristorante Mattarello. Another favorite place to dine is Restaurante La Farola del Mar. Additionally, there are restaurants that serve Italian, German, Spanish and American foods on the peninsula.

For a cool drink and a place to relax, Waikiki Pub is a good place to stop while in the area. This amazingly fun place is located literally on the beachts chairs, tables and parasols are on the sandnd is a great place for refreshing drinks.

Jandia also has some great lounges and clubs for those who want to partake of the nightlife while on holiday. There are discos, lounges that have live entertainment and various beverages and appetizers for a fun and memorable night out.

There are plenty of things to do in Jandia, so you have sufficient options to fill your holiday in May. Of course, diving, sailing, jet skiing, windsurfing and swimming are popular because of the beautiful clear sea.  A popular attraction located just east of Morro Jable, the Subcat Submarine takes guests on an underwater trip to visit a submarine that enables magnificent views of ocean life, such as angel sharks, stingrays and fish.

During May, the Cruces de Mayo Festival is held throughout Fuerteventura, which includes the "Festival of the Crosses" where competitions are held, which involve decorating crosses with flowers. This popular Spanish tradition has been carried over to the Channel Islands because of their political ownership by Spain.
