Things to do in Ibiza in February

Archaeological Museum

If the weather takes a turn for the worst, seek shelter in the Archaeological Museum. This museum has two centres in Ibiza one in Dalt Vila and another at Puig des Molins, both of which provide visitors with an insight into the role death played in ancient Ibiza. The exhibitions in the museum go into detail about how people dealt with death, as well as their hopes, fears and beliefs about the afterlife. There are also displays on the funeral rites which were developed from these practises.

Valley of the Horses

Animal lovers won't want to miss the chance to go horseback riding in Ibiza. The Valley of the Horses is one of the best places on the island for this activity and is home to a number of horses living wild and free. These horses are completely tame and trained to show visitors around the natural side of Ibiza, including places some visitors don't even know exist. There are all sorts of treks available, with everything from 2 hour rides to full-day excursions, and various itineraries, from coastal treks and mountain explorations to choose from.

Santa Eulalia Tourist Train

Hopping onboard the Santa Eulalia Tourist Train is a great way to get to know the area. This trip takes you through the countryside of the region, passing by a number of beaches and other local points of interest. On board the train you'll be able to enjoy the cooling breeze as you travel through hills, pinewoods and valleys, admiring all sorts of stunning scenery so make sure you take your camera. The itinerary covers around 15km in total, and passes by different locations according to which day you travel.
On Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays, the train stops by: Pou des Lleó, Cala Boix, Cala Mastella, Cala Leña and San Carlos.
On Tuesdays and Fridays, the train stops by: San Carlos, Cala Nova and Es Cana.
On Saturdays, the train stops by: San Carlos, Las Dalias hippy market and Cala Nova.
