What's The Weather Like In Hisaronu In July

July is the middle of summer in Turkey, with long, hot, dry days. Sunshine hours and sea temperatures peak in Hisaronu at this time, and rainfall averages are low. It's high season for tourism on Turkey's Turquoise Coast, so expect crowds.

Temperature

The average temperature in Hisaronu in July is 26C, with highs of a very hot 33C. The highest temperature ever recorded in the area at this time is a sweltering 45C. Overnight, the temperature shouldn't drop too significantly, and at around 19C it will still feel quite warm.

It's a similar story in all of Turkey's coastal resorts, with average temperatures of 26C in Izmir, to the west of Hisaronu, and highs of 32C, and in Alanya to the south east average temperatures of 28C and highs of a slightly cooler 30C. The north of the country tends to be cooler year round, and with average temperatures of 24C and highs of 28C in Istanbul.

There are 159 rooms, so it's quite a large resort, and has plenty of amenities to offer. The Crocus Spa offers a range of pampering treatments, there are three pools and two separate for children, children's playground, three restaurants, two bars and free shuttle service to the beach.

Cypriot Hotel

The Cypriot Hotel offers a home away from home experience, with room service, outdoor pool, Wi-Fi, Jacuzzi, restaurant and bar. The facilities are basic, and it's definitely a smaller establishment, but very comfortable and with friendly, helpful service to distinguish it from many other hotels in the area.

Perdika Family Resort

The Perdika Family Resort caters to both families and couples, set in a fabulous location in the green hills above Hisaronu central. The rooms offer stunning views of the sea and mountains, though as the property is on a very steep hill it is not recommended for less mobile guests. The facilities are excellent, including an outdoor pool with two waterslides, sun terrace, gym, sauna, games, aerobics, children's pool and playground. Rooms are comfortable and include all basic amenities.

Ozturk Hotel

Situated in a peaceful part of Hisaronu, Ozturk Hotel is the perfect place to enjoy a quiet holiday. The hotel is surrounded by landscaped gardens and guests are encouraged to take advantage of the complimentary breakfast buffet and reserve a table at the traditional Turkish restaurant for dinner.

Hisaronu Beaches For July

Gunluklu Beach

Gunluklu is in the same style as Katranci, another beautiful but slightly more secluded cove, around 19km from Fethiye. You'll need a car to get there as it's quite remote. The cove is perfumed by storax trees, which are so dense that underneath they block out the sky. It's an ideal place for camping under the stars, though there are few amenities such as you find at the busier and more popular sites.

Kidrak Beach

Kidrak is located about a kilometre to the east of Belcegiz. Also an environmentally protected beach, it boasts an impressive natural beauty and is the most popular camping area in Fethiye. The beach is small shingle is stunning and very easy to get to. It's rarely crowded at any time of year.

Servet Turkish Delight Factory

Servet Turkish Delight Factory in Fethiye is a wonderful day out, and a great place to get your fill of this local treat. Otherwise known as "lokum", Turkish delight, is a traditional sweet made of sugar and starch. It is believed that the production goes back to the 15th century.

The ingredients of lokum are sugar, corn starch and water, boiled together with fruits or nuts or flavouring for 1 to 2 hours. This thick sticky liquid is then poured into special wooden trays and sprinkled with corn starch. It stands from 24 to 48 hours until it is cool and has a flexible consistency. Then the starch is brushed off, it is sprinkled with powdered sugar and cut up into small cubes. Apart from plain, there are any number of different varieties: strawberry, cherry, lemon, orange, pistachio, walnut and almond, are traditional and favourite varieties are different in each province.

Shine Indian Restaurant

If you fancy a curry, Shine Indian Restaurant comes highly recommended. Curries are cooked to your taste and the menu features are the usual and familiar varieties. The prices are very reasonable and they cater for both meat eaters and vegetarians. The Baltis are very popular.

The Olive Tree Restaurant

Boasting fine cuisine and excellent service, The Olive Tree Restaurant is one of the most popular eateries in Hisaronu. Only open to diners 14 years and older, this eatery is the place to go if you want to enjoy a sophisticated meal in peace and quiet.

Things To Do In Hisaronu In July

Splash Cruise

There are any number of different cruise experiences on offer at Fethiye Harbour, but if you're travelling with the family the Splash Cruise is a lot of fun. Board a traditional gulet boat at the Harbour, and embark on a tour of the twelve islands in the bay. The boat docks from time to time so you can hop off and have a swim or do some snorkelling, and lunch is served on board.

Sultan's Aqua City

Sultan's Aqua City in Fethiye is a great day out for the whole family, with huge, splashy slides and pools, as well as a number of games and activities (including live water polo) to keep everyone occupied. The poolside bar serves drinks and snacks and there are qualified lifeguards on hand to keep everyone safe in the water.

Gocek

If the heat proves to be too much for a day at the beach, spend a few hours exploring the nearby area of Gocek. Here you can stroll around the marina, wander through the market square, or pop in one of the many cafes for a spot of lunch.
