The Hotel Les Citronniers is regarded as one of the best budget hotels in the city. Many of the luxury hotels in Hammamet are located on the shoreline and the budget accommodations are generally centralized in the downtown area of the city. Despite being an extremely affordable hotel in the hustle and bustle of the city centre, this hotel has a swimming pool for guests to use and a full service restaurant if you don't feel like venturing into the heat for a meal.

The Club Med Hammamet is extremely popular with traveling families and it does also book many couples on honeymoons. There are a series of three large swimming pools and activities that are kid-friendly throughout the days. There is also convenient beach access from the Club Med so there will be ample fun to be had. This hotel is an all-inclusive so the costs can be higher than the average family hotel stay.

Bars and Restaurants

An exquisite option for authentic Tunisian cuisine is Resto de la Plage, which overlooks the Mediterranean Sea. Dining on the terrace is absolutely lovely and the food here will match the view. The menu is full of Tunisian classics that have a French twist, ranging from techniques to ingredients that are not native to Tunisia. Like many other restaurants in the area, Resto de la Plage does not serve alcohol in observance of Islamic culture.

Da Franco is a modern restaurant popular with tourists and locals alike. Da Franco is an Italian restaurant but specialises in local seafood and steaks. Unlike many eateries in Hammamet, Da Franco has a full menu of wine and cocktail options to accompany meals. Because this restaurant is frequented by locals and busy year-round, making reservations in advance is strongly recommended. If you're looking for a change of pace from local cuisine or your hotel's buffet, Da Franco is a great choice.
